A little over a month after signing an agreement with the Brazilian Air Force Command (COMAER) to develop a new launch area at the Alcantara Space Center, C6 Launch Systems has its first customer.

Canadian based C6 Launch Systems announced today that its Brazilian subsidiary C6 Sistemas de Lançamentos do Brasil (C6 Sistemas) will build a new launch area and expand existing infrastructure at the Alcantara Space Center (CAE) as part of an agreement with the Brazilian Air Force Command (COMAER).

In his annual survey of small launch vehicles, Carlos Niederstrasser of Northrop Grumman says the survey is now tracking 166 vehicles, up very slightly from the year before. However, the number of vehicles in development has been going down since the high of the 2020 survey.
