Zenith Canada has selected its second class of fellows. The not-for-profit organization founded in 2020 aims to develop students and keep that talent in Canada working in the space sector.
In a news release the organization said it had received applications from 20 institutions and had selected 23 fellows, 15 of which will be mentored and eight who will be interns. It’s first class had 10 fellows.
Zenith said that “the Zenith Fellows were selected for their outstanding community involvement, leadership skills, technical capabilities, and passion for contributing to the Canadian space sector. Of the 23 selected, 15 Zenith Fellow Mentees will be mentored by a leader in the industry, engage in professional development programming, and participate in community building activities throughout the year. The remaining eight Zenith Fellow Interns will additionally intern at leading Canadian space companies partnered with the ZCPF for the Summer of 2023.”
Zenith also stated that “this summer, the Fellows will participate in the annual Zenith Fellowship Summit where they will meet with their peers and network with professionals from across the sector.”
