While Alberta has seen a record number of wildfires this spring, they aren’t the only province experiencing an early start to the season.

The Canadian Space Agency today issued a press release to showcase a new video for the WildFireSat mission.

The press release stated that “Canada faces many challenges due to our changing climate, which is causing longer wildfire seasons, more extreme weather conditions and increased droughts.”

“The Canadian Space Agency and its partners are developing the WildFireSat mission that will launch in 2029 with primary goal of supporting wildfire management. Please visit our website to find out more.”
