Only four days before their scheduled launch to the International Space Station, the Expedition 58 crew of Soyuz Commander Oleg Kononenko of Roscosmos, Flight Engineers Anne McClain of NASA, and Canada’s David Saint-Jacques participated in a final fit check in their Soyuz MS-11 spacecraft on November 29.

The fit check is one of several pre-launch activities David Saint-Jacques and his crewmates will perform.

Also completing the fit check at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan were the backup crew of Alexander Skvortsov of Roscosmos, Drew Morgan of NASA and Luca Parmitano of the European Space Agency.

If for whatever reason Saint-Jacques and his crewmates are unable to launch on Monday for a medical or other reason, the backup crew is fully trained and would step in and take over the mission.

The footage provided by NASA also includes the rollout of the Soyuz launch vehicle to the launch pad in Baikonur on Dec. 1 and launch pad interviews.
