We rarely get to hear what happens behind the scenes at a mission control, let alone how Canada participated in the Space Shuttle missions and now the International Space Station.

In the last Terranauts episode we had a bit of history lesson from Mac Evans about the beginnings of Canada’s current space program.ย  We talked about the creation of the Canadian Space Agency and the negotiation of the international treaty for what eventually became the International Space Station.ย

Today’s guest, Bill Mackey, is going to help us continue that story and learn about the building of both the International Space Station and the international team that had to manage and run it.
