This weeks SpaceQ podcast is a live recording from the Canadian Space Summit. The opening keynote speaker for the conference was Sergy Mummert, Senior Vice President, Global Cloud & Strategic Partnerships, SES Networks.

The annual Canadian Space Summit was an opportunity for stakeholders to get together to learn the latest from their colleagues and in the case of this years conference, the public unveiling of a new government conceived SatCom consortium.

In an October 15, 2019 letter to the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) , Kepler Communications is petitioning the FCC to reconsider its order and authorization request from SpaceX to lower the altitude of 1,584 of its satellites to 550 km.

MDA, which had announced in early May the creation of Space Infrastructure Services (SIS) to handle its nascent satellite servicing business, today announced that Finance Technology Leverage LLC would take a majority stake in SIS and that global satellite communications company SES would be its first customer.
