SpaceQ was forwarded a message the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) sent to industry partners last night to update them and reassure them that they are there for them.

The message reads;

Dear valued CSA collaborator,

The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) recognizes the uncertainty that COVID-19 is creating within the Canadian space sector. We will work with you to achieve our shared objectives. We are still open for business, but differently. We are committed to supporting you during these difficult times.

Following the advice of Canadian public health authorities, we have put measures in place that enable us to practise social distancing and ensure the health and safety of our workforce. Our staff is teleworking where possible. Essential or critical activities continue to be carried out.

At this time, we are encouraging all stakeholders and clients to connect with us by phone or electronic means. Please continue to work through your usual contacts at the CSA for specific projects or programs.

Should you have any questions about our approach or if you are experiencing difficulty reaching your usual contacts at the CSA, please send an email to the CSA’s Industry Relations address – [email protected]. This account will be monitored on a continuous basis during the COVID-19 situation, and staff will work to address your inquiry.

We also invite you to share updates about the impact of COVID-19 on your operations.

We thank you for your patience and understanding during this challenging time, and wish you well.

The CSA.
