At the recent Royal Astronomical Society of Canada General Assembly Professor Gregg Wade provided an update on the BRITE Constellation mission.

The Bright Target Explorer or BRITE is a constellation of six nano-satellites operated by a consortium of universities from Canada, Austria and Poland which were developed at the Space Flight Laboratory in Toronto.

According to Wade the international nano-satellites “are performing high-cadence long-term, two colour photometric monitoring of the brightest stars in the sky.”

Professor Wade’s talk was held at York University on June 14, 2019.
