MDA Space has announced the appointment of Guillaume Lavoie as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective immediately.
Mr. Lavoie is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Université du Québec à Montréal. He was most recently with Sofina Foods Inc. as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and has over 20 years of experience in finance including working at Pratt and Whitney, Bombardier Inc., and Bombardier Transportation.
Mr. Lavoie replaces Janet McEachern who was interim CFO as well as Vice President of Finance. Ms. McEachern had been interim CFO since July 2 when then CFO Vito Culmone left the company to join Stantec. Ms. McEachern continues on as Vice President of Finance.
