David Saint-Jacques and Expedition 58 Crew Head to Kazakhstan

Expedition 58 astronaut David Saint-Jacques along with his crewmates, Soyuz Commander Oleg Kononenko of Roscosmos and Flight Engineers Anne McClain of NASA, have left Moscow for the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan in preparation for their December 3 launch.

The expedition 58 crew along the crew backups, Alexander Skvortsov of Roscosmos, Drew Morgan of NASA and Luca Parmitano of the European Space Agency, first participated in traditional ceremonies at the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in Star City, Russia, outside Moscow on Nov. 19.

Afterward, the crew left for the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan to complete their training. The crew will launch on a Soyuz 11 spacecraft for a six-month mission on the International Space Station.
