Mage Networks is the latest organization to sign an Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Telesat for its Lightspeed Constellation services.

Following a successful Phase 1 contract, Telesat Government Solutions, the wholly owned subsidiary of Telesat, was awarded a Phase 2 contract by DARPA for its Lightspeed Constellation.

A month after announcing that it had cleared the finance hurdle for its Lightspeed constellation and brought MDA onboard as its prime manufacturer, Telesat announced yesterday a launch contract with SpaceX.

After years of delay Telesat announced today it was proceeding with the production phase of its LightSpeed constellation having secured the necessary funding and selecting MDA as the prime satellite manufacturer.

At 7:27 PM EDT Monday evening a Rocket Lab Electron launched from the Launch Complex 1 in New Zealand taking the “Baby Come Back” mission to orbit. One of the payloads was the Telesat LEO 3 demonstration microsatellite.

Three weeks ago Telesat announced that it had contracted the Space Flight Laboratory to build another demonstration satellite for its Lightspeed constellation, dubbed LEO 3, and that it was nearing completion.
