At last weeks annual World Satellite Business Week in Paris, NorthStar Earth & Space was one of the recipients of an Excellence in Earth Observation Award by event organizer Novaspace.

It’s been a busy start to July for Montreal-based NorthStar Earth & Space who announced today new financing as well as formalizing their acting Chief Financial Officer, and last week said it demonstrated their Concept of Operations (CONOPS).

At the recent Space Debris Conference hosted by Saudi Space Agency, NorthStar Earth & Space and the Saudi Space Agency signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) related to Space Situational Awareness (SSA). After Virgin Orbit recently folded, NorthStar Earth & Space was in need of a new launch provider to get its first group of satellites launched this year. Today they announced that Rocket Lab would be their ride to space.

While 2022 only saw seven Canadian satellites launched, 2023 could see at least 21, if not more. As well, we could see the first test launch of a suborbital rocket from Spaceport Nova Scotia. It's been years in the making, but today the Government of Canada signalled it would fully support the development of a domestic commercial space launch capability and necessary facilities.
