The annual Canadian Space Summit was an opportunity for stakeholders to get together to learn the latest from their colleagues and in the case of this years conference, the public unveiling of a new government conceived SatCom consortium.

Issues raised several years ago were again the focus during a consultation with stakeholders by Global Affairs Canada (GAC) and the Canadian Space Agency.

This years Canadian Space Summit theme is LEO to Lunar and the program reflects this focus with sessions devoted to current and near term opportunities, as well as planning for longer term opportunities.

While the space community waits for the government to release a new space strategy, the real work behind the scenes to make that happen is proceeding at a larger scale than the public is aware of.
