A dozen Canadian space companies are headed to Germany next week on an organized trade mission by the Canadian government.
With Canada currently in a trade war with the U.S. and uncertainty on what that could mean going forward, non-U.S. export markets are more important than ever.
While having the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service at Global Affairs Canada organizing trade missions is not new, there is a heightened awareness of the importance of them.
This particular trade mission to Germany coincides with Space Tech Expo Europe in Bremen which will have, according to organizers, over 10,000 participants and over 950 exhibitors. That’s puts it into the category of space events not be missed as Europe’s largest space technology expo.
The companies participating include:
- CardiAI Inc.
- Galaxia
- GeoMate
- Mackenzie Valley Fibre Link
- Maya HTT
- Mission Control
- NGC Aerospace
- NordSpace Corp.
- Orbital Research Ltd.
- Reaction Dynamics
- Square Peg Communications Inc.
- Wyvern
Along with the Trade Commissioner, the delegation will included representatives from the Canadian Space Agency and the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP).
The delegation will be in Bremen Nov. 17-19, in Cologne on Nov. 20 visiting the German Space Agency (DLR) and on Nov. 21 in Aachen visiting the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology.
