SEDS Canada with co-host Space Concordia is organizing a new conference dedicated to CubeSats, the Canadian CubeSat Conference.
The 2026 edition will be hosted at the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University in Montreal, March 7-8.
The conference comes shortly after the creation of the Canadian CubeSat Network (CCN) in mid-December, a new initiative from SEDS Canada supported by MDA Space. The initiative is designed for those who are working on a CubeSat project, or have worked on a CubeSat, or are interested CubeSats.
SEDS Canada says that by joining the network participants have access to Discord community, curated wiki, mentorship and alumni connections, a discount for the Canadian CubeSat Conference and “exclusive lecture videos from MDA Space on Mission Planning & ConOps.”
The new conference is meant to be the technical conference of the CCN.
Registration is ongoing and is $75 before any discounts. A program is not available yet but organizers have listed the following highlights:
- Shine a spotlight on the 9 CUBICS teams and numerous Canadian Satellite Design Challenge teams
- Technical Presentations from Industry Experts
- Alumni Networking and Fireside Chats with past CubeSat team leads who are currently working in the industry
- Research Poster Presentations and Student Booths to showcase the innovative CubeSat/CanSat/SmallSat projects
- Wine & Cheese Event organized by Co-host Space Concordia to meet industry partners and emerging student talent
Of note, SEDS Canada is hosting its annual Canadian Space Conference 2026 at the University of Ottawa between January 23-25.
