Canadian Space Agency Launches Online Educational Game

The Canadian Space Agency (CSA) has launched an online educational game called Mission Astronaut designed for students in grade 3-6.

They provide easy instructions for teachers to get started and get their classrooms engaged quickly. After the students create their astronaut profile their ready to go.

The game features:

  • Missions – There are 93 short and simple activities divided into five missions: training, living in space, robotics, science and spacecraft. Each of the themes contains lots of videos and content.
  • Virtual collection cards – This is where students can spend the stars they have earned and collect cards from seven space collections. They can even build the solar system and learn fun facts about each celestial body.
  • Mini games – It‘s time to have fun and play one of six space-themed games. This includes a Lunar Rover game for an easy coding activity where your students need to program a rover to navigate on the Moon by using coding blocks.
