Public Works and Government Services Canada posted an amendment to the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) Lunar Gateway Robotics – Canadarm3 Request for Information/Letter of Interest notice, postponing the upcoming second Industry Day and one-on-one meetings.

In posting the amendment, PWGSC said it was deferring the meeting which was originally scheduled for September 18 and 19, 2019.

SpaceQ contacted the Canadian Space Agency who told us the event was being organized by Public Service and Procurement Canada and to contact them. An email to the meeting point of Canada was sent but we’ve received no response as of publishing this story. No reason was offered for the deferment which was given with short notice.

The Liberal government dissolved parliament today which triggered an election. However, that would not be an excuse for the deferment, as “dropping the writ” would have had to been done no later than September 15 anyway, days before the Industry Day was to have taken place.

We’ll follow up this story with any new details should they become available.

Updated 1:50 pm – Note that the iSpace and Astrobotic industry days on September 16 and 17 will still take place.
