The CSCA to Hold Tax Reform Impact Meeting

The Canadian Space Commerce Association (CSCA) will hold in person and online webinar on how the governments proposed tax reforms will impact businesses, in particular those in the space sector.

SpaceQ recently wrote about how the Government has bungled the tax consultation and how it could hurt new space entrepreneurs. At the time the CSCA said “the CSCA is reviewing the proposed tax reform and will comment shortly.”

While we don’t have a comment from the CSCA on the proposed tax reforms, we can note that they are being proactive in providing their members with information to help them understand the proposed tax changes the government is planning.

This Thursday the CSCA will hold a three hour meeting with experts from Deloitte and Dentons Law firm.  According to the CSCA the “new tax legislation will have consequences for individual contractors, consultants, budding entrepreneurs, start-ups, SME’s and more. Come hear how the new legislation will affect you.”

Members can attend in person Toronto where the event will take place or at a satellite meeting space in Montreal, Ottawa, Edmonton and Waterloo. The event will also be streamed online for members who can’t attend in person.
