Days before the historic announcement April 3 by the Canadian Space Agency concerning the astronaut who will fly around the Moon in 2024 or so, MDA announced its full-year results yesterday (March 23) for 2022 showing strong financials in part due to Canadarm3.

The Canadian Space Agency’s (CSA) recently announced $6.8 million in funding for Earth observation technologies included 10 R&D contracts, recently discussed by SpaceQ. Of those contracts, four of them went to MDA, which is not a surprise given MDA’s experience.

In a new filling with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Globalstar states that it has secured US$252 million in prepayment from it’s partner. That partner being Apple.

Building on the success of its antenna business, MDA announced yesterday that it had signed its first contract with ARSAT, Argentina’s national telecommunications company.

Canada has officially announced its intention to join as a partner in the Square Kilometre Array Observatory. The announcement formalizes Canada’s long involvement in Square Kilometre Array Observatory, and provides a variety of benefits for Canadian astronomers peering into the distant past of the Universe.
