Starting today Quebec City is hosting approximately 80 delegates for the International Space Agency Heads of Agency meeting. Attending will be representatives from NASA, the European Space Agency (ESA), the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and the Russian Federal Space Agency (ROSCOSMOS) along with the hosts the Canadian Space Agency.
Delegates will be discussing the future of the International Space Station (ISS) and other potential future space exploration projects. When contacted, a Canadian Space Agency media representative could not discuss the substance of the talks taking place today through Thursday. The meeting will wrap up on Thursday with a press conference at 1:00 pm ET at the Chateau Frontenac where an inter-agency memo will be released. The ISS Heads of Agency meeting is usually held in March each year.
