Gilles Leclerc to be Named Interim President of the Canadian Space Agency

SpaceRef has learned that Gilles Leclerc, who was the Director General, Space Exploration, has been named the interim President of the Canadian Space Agency. Leclerc replaces Steve MacLean who served his last day today.


Leclerc will serve as President until such a time that a permanent President is selected which could happen by the end of August according to SpaceRef sources.
Jean-Claude Piedboeuf, currently the Director, Space Exploration Development will asume Leclerc responsibilities as Director, Space Exploration.
